Sunday April 23rd, 2-4pm, at the Community Garden next to St Clements Church.
Come and explore the garden as we enter this year’s planting season, and lend a hand planting or weeding if you’d like to, or learn about compositing.
Stalls with locally-made soaps, cakes, cotton bags.
Cake and buns for visitors!, and garden seeds and plants for sale.
Fun activities and quizzes for young and old.
We’re also delighted to be teaming up with The Collective Sharehouse, who will provide a donation and information stall for their vital work. More information below about the best kinds of food donations to bring.
We look forward to seeing you!
The Collective Sharehouse is a local ‘give as you can, take as you need’ community food support offering help to residents in financial hardship within the Micklegate area of York. During three sessions every week, based at Clements Hall, they offer non-perishable foods along with personal and household hygiene products to anyone from the Micklegate area who’s finding they need a bit of extra support in these challenging times.
Ideal food donations to The Collective Sharehouse: they are grateful for any tinned/packet non-perishable foods. They would especially welcome tinned meats – especially ham or corned beef, UHT whole milk, cooking oil, coffee, microwaveable packets & pots, laundry detergents, and household cleaning sprays & cloths.
Financial donations can also be made on Sunday, in cash or via a QR code.
