York Environment Week will be running from Saturday 23 September – Sunday 1 October 2023, with some events taking place around these dates (see https://yorkenvironmentweek.org.uk/yew-events-2023/ for details). There are more than 60 events and activities in this year’s programme, and the event is a tremendous opportunity for learning and celebrating all things green in York.
Planet South Bank’s three events are:
- This Friday evening, on Zoom: Telling the story of Planet South Bank. Have you ever wondered how Planet South Bank began, how we’re organised, and how we keep going? A few of us from the organising group of Planet South Bank will be sharing our story and our hopes for the future. Friday 22 September, 7.30pm (online). See https://yorkenvironmentweek.org.uk/the-story-of-planet-southbank/ for details and to reserve your slot.
- Our regular and popular neighbourhood event, Street-re-Cycle, takes place on Sunday 24th September, 11am to 3pm. Please sign up by e-mailing info@planetsouthbank.org.uk. Information about the event is here: https://yorkenvironmentweek.org.uk/street-re-cycle/
- And on Thursday 28th September, together with York Climate Cafe we are hosting a climate cafe – a safe, facilitated space to share thoughts and feelings about climate change. Full details here https://yorkenvironmentweek.org.uk/climate-cafe/
We hope to see you at one or more of these events! Please contact info@planetsouthbank.org.uk if you need any further information.
