Getting to know Nun Ings

Have you ever walked along the river past Millennium Bridge down towards Bishopthorpe? How about wandering up towards the Knavesmire from the river, stopping to admire the hay meadows and the occasional baby rabbit? If so, you’ve walked along Nun Ings!

This piece of land, between Bishopthorpe Road and the Ouse (map) is important to many South Bank residents. Local organisers have set up the Friends of Nun Ings (FONI) to make sure this valuable piece of York’s green belt is represented.

As part of this, FONI are surveying those who use the space to find out the views of the local community. Take part here or scan the QR code below: https://forms.gle/6VCiAHuj4m64b3Fr6

Taking part will help FONI to assess how important Nun Ings is to local people, and understand how the views of the wider community, beyond FONI membership, can be represented.
