Upcoming events – climate science, Spring Fair, and news of a climate and environment hustings for the Mayoral elections

Coming up this Sunday, 21 April, Planet South Bank’s wonderful annual Spring Fair – more details here.

Did you know climate scientists tell stories about possible future pathways? We recently ran a very well-attended in-person talk by climate scientist Dr James King, and we know that a number of people were unable to come along on the night.

And, those who came along found the talk to be engaging, thought-provoking and fun (who knew climate scientists have a sense of humour?)

So we’re handing Dr King the stage again, online this time – join the session and find out for yourself:

Wednesday 24 April, 7.45pm to 9.15pm: Hear Dr King share cutting-edge research on the detail of these climate science stories and their implications for our future. Signup at Eventbrite to receive the Zoom details https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/climate-science-and-storytelling-tickets-882053715407?aff=oddtdtcreator

And Planet South Bank has been sent news of a Climate and Nature Hustings for the Mayoral Elections in York and North Yorkshire. The event is coordinated by Friends of the Earth in association with the Regional Youth Climate Assembly, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, North Yorkshire West Federation Women’s Institute, Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust and the National Trust.

Monday 22 April, 7pm, online. Details here https://actionnetwork.org/events/york-and-north-yorkshire-climate-nature-hustings
